For more than 20 years, I have worked alongside young people at some of the most important turning points in their lives.
From school and university admissions to career decisions, international study and life beyond education, I have seen first-hand that success is about much more than grades or qualifications. The students who thrive are often those who have someone who believes in them, challenges them and helps them develop the confidence to navigate uncertainty.
My career has taken me across schools, universities, careers services, admissions teams and international education organisations, giving me a unique perspective on the opportunities and challenges young people face today.
This experience, combined with my background in psychology and coaching, allows me to support students not only in achieving their goals, but in developing the self-awareness, resilience and independence needed to sustain that success long after they reach them.
Whether working directly with students, supporting families or collaborating with schools and educational partners, my aim remains the same: helping young people understand themselves, recognise their potential and create futures they are excited to pursue.
Student success is at the heart of what I do

Postgraduate study in psychology, combined with earlier training in careers psychology, underpins my approach to teaching, guidance and mentoring. Drawing on cognitive, developmental, biological and social psychology, together with an understanding of individual differences and psychological research, I apply evidence-informed approaches that support learning, motivation, communication and self-efficacy.
This translates into practical support for learners, including the use of psychometric assessment to help upper primary and secondary students better understand their strengths, preferences and learning styles. These insights inform learning strategies, admissions preparation and interview coaching, enabling students to communicate authentically and confidently rather than relying on rehearsed responses.
For students preparing to join new schools overseas, I also provide self-efficacy coaching and transition mentoring, combining psychological insight with practical guidance to build confidence before departure and, where appropriate, in-person support across South East England and Wales.

Professionally qualified to Level 6 in Careers Guidance and Development and registered as a Registered Career Development Professional (RCDP), I support young people to understand themselves, explore opportunities and make informed decisions about their education and future.
My practice spans careers education, university guidance and admissions across the UK and internationally. I have worked with leading education consultancies and tuition centres in Hong Kong, advising students on applications to UK universities, including Oxbridge, alongside competitive independent school admissions. As a University Guidance Counsellor in Bangkok, I supported students applying to universities around the world, with successful applications to Oxbridge, the G5 universities, scholarship programmes in Hong Kong and Japan, and leading universities in Thailand.
Alongside individual guidance, I have designed and delivered innovative careers programmes, including one of the UK's first neurodiverse summer schools, combining psychology, careers education and personal development to help young people make confident, informed decisions about their future.

With almost 25 years’ experience in education, my teaching spans early years through to university preparation, supporting learners from toddler age to K–12 across the UK and South East Asia. I have taught in tuition centres in Hong Kong, delivered one-to-one mentoring and tuition internationally, and worked on a freelance basis with education platforms including Atom.
My experience includes preparing students for entry to G6 schools, leading UK independent schools and international schools, alongside English language development, admissions preparation and academic confidence-building.
This is underpinned by Premier TEFL certification, specialist Exam Preparation training, a Postgraduate Certificate in Leadership and Management, and ongoing CPD in safeguarding, child protection, Prevent, GDPR and educational best practice.

Targeted preparation for admissions tests and interviews, including familiarisation with expectations, structure, and style, tailored to the learner and the specific education context.

Focused language development to support readiness for English-medium education systems, particularly where learners are transitioning between international contexts.

Providing careful, individualised consideration of learning profiles, support requirements, and environmental fit for neurodivergent learners, to inform appropriate placements and successful transitions.

Supporting learners in understanding which forms of work experience are meaningful and relevant to their future academic and professional goals, rather than simply accumulating hours or titles.

Assisting learners in identifying suitable work experience opportunities aligned with their interests, strengths, and intended pathways, and supporting them through application and outreach where required.

Helping learners reflect on and articulate their experiences effectively within university applications, including personal statement preparation and review, with a focus on insight, relevance, and academic fit.

I work in partnership with education consultancies and agents to support cases requiring additional depth, time, or specialist input beyond placement services.

Supporting learners who do not yet have a clear academic or career starting point, helping them develop direction, confidence, and realistic next steps that align with their strengths and context.

Continued support once learners enter new settings, including half-term tuition programmes, in-person check-ins, and attendance at parents’ evenings on behalf of families where appropriate.
Others focus on applications.
I focus on the person making them.
